In summary, Chronicles does little to substantially add to the story we have explored so far. It is in many ways a parallel text to the events we have already covered—summarising the family trees of the twelve tribes, before telling the story of the kings. The books do offer a slightly different perspective to some of the events, however, and sometimes present the northern kingdom a little more sympathetically than 1 and 2 Kings.
